London Marathon Fundraiser
Nicky Smith one of our biggest supporters ran the London Marathon to raise funds for us… Facing challenges along the way including some major injuries. She completed the race in good time! Heres what her fundraiser post said;
“ Equine Pathways is an incredible charity who have helped us more than I can ever put into words. They provide equine assisted therapy to children and adults with mental and physical ill health/disabilities, and the support that the ponies, horses and volunteers give really is transformational. My amazing niece has struggled with her mental health from a young age. Luckily we found Equine Pathways just over two years ago, and after her very first session, she knew what a special place it is. She now volunteers for the charity and often says it has saved her life! it really has had an amazing impact on her, much more so than traditional therapies.
This small but big hearted charity help many more families and adult and branch out to make a difference in their local and wider community. Most of the charity ponies have been rescued and rehabilitated and really do form strong and sensitive connections during the therapy sessions. The charity and the horses make a huge difference by helping build confidence and self esteem throughout the journey taken with them and they do all this with little or no funding.
I feel so thankful that we have been able to have such amazing support.”
Nicky ended up raising £2500
Well done on such a fantastic run and a huge thank you.
