Donations Always Gratefully Received
Big thanks to Carla Wood and the Maximus Foundation for a grant to help ensure the Young Lives Empowerment Programme continues to provide free therapy sessions to children in need.
Schools In Session
We have started working with a lot of new schools and groups recently from all over Yorkshire, including Academy St James from Bradford, Hall Cliffe Primary School from Wakefield, Young Carers from Selby and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust in leeds, plus many more. We are very proud to share our gorgeous ponies and their healing and calming qualities. Have a look at our Sessions page to see the latest photos.
Lots and lots of cakes
Gemma, her boss Debra and colleagues at Lucas Credit Services in Bradford, held a delicious looking cake sale to raise some funds for us, thank you so much, we bet they went down well at coffee time.
Shop and Donate
We have now signed up with Smile at Amazon so if you choose us as your charity every time you shop Amazon will make a small donation to us without it costing you a penny extra or if shopping on line elsewhere if you go through www.easyfundraising.org.uk to reach the website you need, they too will give us a donation, small amounts help us a lot.
Your Help Please
Little Jack has been diagnosed with a massive sarcoid, which is a cancerous tumour. He is booked into the vets hospital on Friday 18th May, and we all have a fingers crossed for him. jack is a huge part of the therapy team and a favourite of many with his cheeky antics. If you could make a donation towards his medical bills it would really help, as many know, we receive no funding and provide a free service so our finances are limited, every penny really does help.
A Special Visitor
Local MP Andrea Jenkyns has been championing our cause with the Prime Minister Theresa May who tweeted about us earlier this year. Andrea popped in to meet the horses and ponies and shared some of her valuable experience with us, as well as promising to help us in the future. We were very excited to meet her but Flo took it all in her stride. Thank you Andrea.

We were invited to afternoon tea with Councillor Jane Dowson, the Lord Mayor of Leeds and whilst we were there received a Highly Commended Award in the Compassionate City Awards for the work we do with schools and chidren. We are very proud and would like to say thank you to everyone who helps to make this possible.

A huge thank you to all who supported our 2016 Christmas fair, we had lots of raffle and tombola prizes donated and you were all very busy baking delicious cakes and buns. There were lots of local stalls, pie and peas and home made soup to warm us up, it even snowed! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Special thanks to Mr Chris Chittell for supporting us again this year.

Duke of York Award 2016
Fantastic news EPUK have been awarded the Duke of York Award for Community Initiative. The awards ceremony was held at Huddersfield University and we were honoured to meet the Duke!! After a fantastic luncheon we went through to the auditorium and received our award from Prince Andrew. To say the least we were all a little star struck!! But an honour to be recognised by such an amazing organisation.
This adorable new member of the therapy pony team arrived early May, she was kindly donated by Juliette Bridger and travelled from the Isle of Wight to help us out!! Flo is a miniature pony, and has buddied up with Pablo our other little fallabella pony. They work together with school children from across Leeds and are proving to be extremely popular!!
